Diabeties can be prevented and cured too by activating Pancreas. Pancreas must produce normal insulin to control the blood sugar. Apart from exercises & medicines it is essential to include certain food as dietary habit.

Bengal Gram:
Diabetic patients who are on prescribed diet which does not severely restrict the intake of carbohydrates but includes liberal amounts of Benegal Gram extract have shown considerable improvement in their festing blood sugar level, glucose tolerance, urinal excretion of sugar and general condition.
 
Bitter Gourd (Karela):
This common vegetable is specifically used as a folk medicine for diabetics from ancient times in India. Research has also established that it contains insulin like principle,designated as platinsulin which lowers blood and urine sugar levels. The juice of this vegetable has been found extremely effective. Taking juice of 3 to 4 karela (bittergourd) every morning empty stomach is very effective.
 
Fenugreek Seeds:
Research has shown that when this seed is administered in varying doses of 25gms to 100 gms daily diminish reactive hyperglycemia in diabetic patients and level of glucose significantly reduced in diabetic patients.
 
Fibre Rich Foods:
Considered highly beneficial for diabetics. Whole grain cereals are one of best sources of dietary fibre.
 
Garlic:
One or two cloves of garlic is highly beneficial and effective for lower sugar levels in blood & urine.
 
Indian Gooseberry:
An ideal diet for diabetic people. A tablespoon of its juice mixed with a cup of fresh bittergourd juice taken daily for two month will stimulate the langerhans and enable the secretion of natural insulin.
 
Jambul Fruit:
Its effect on Pancreas reduces the blood & urine sugar level and very good prevention & cure.The fruit can be taken or seeds to be powdered and mixed with water to be taken 3-4 times a day. It reduces quantum of sugar in urine and allays the unquenchable thirst that could afflict some diabetics.
 
Onion:
From ancient time it is used to treat diabeties. Onion juice & whole onion in doses 25 to 200 gms taken daily, the blood sugar level will decrease.
 
Pappaya & Guava:
Good fruit to reduce diabeties.
